Summary of Local Climate Action Events for Climate Strike Week

September 19, 2019

Dear Neighbors,

If you want a dedicated champion of climate justice continuing the work locally please share how you can help with my re-election campaign by clicking the ‘support campaign’ button in the menu above.

Please also consider participating in the upcoming youth led climate strike week events…

Local action on climate change will always be hard, but it will be so much easier with the right partners at the state and federal levels and with the right political atmosphere and movement.  To that end here is a summary I have put together that hopefully is useful in helping everyone plug in, please forward far and wide:

Thursday, September 19, 5:30 pm

Bernie Sanders to visit UNC Campus

Bell Tower Amphitheater, University of North CarolinaSouth Road and Stadium Drive Chapel Hill, NC 27514

While not technically a Climate strike event, Bernie Sanders’ climate plan with its comprehensive scope, timeline and proposed 16 trillion, 10 year-budget to match the plan, is the most climate-emergency-realist plan so far.
